Tablewick figures are taken from Tablewick's own pricing, cafés, about and comparison pages and its public release notes, checked 2 November 2026. Tablewick's prices are in AUD with GST included, and TableNest's Australian prices include GST too, so the two sets of figures compare like-for-like. Tablewick's release notes list version 1.0.0, "Launch", on 16 October 2026. Tablewick's own comparison with TableNest was checked 21 October 2026, and TableNest's plans have changed since — the TableNest figures on this page come from our current price list. When Tablewick is the better choice

If you take fewer than 30 online bookings a month and run the place on your own, Tablewick's free plan costs nothing and TableNest does. If you want a visual floor plan and card holds for the smallest monthly bill, Tablewick's AUD 49 Starter plan has both, where TableNest's floor plan starts at Pro ($69).

And if your trade is a café counter, Tablewick does three things TableNest does not do at all: digital loyalty stamp cards, commission-free pickup ordering (a AUD 19 add-on), and meal pre-orders for groups on Pro. It also has an iPhone and iPad app. If those matter most, Tablewick is the closer fit.

When TableNest is the better choice

When more than one person takes bookings. Tablewick includes one user per plan and charges AUD 11 a month for each extra user — on its own figures, Starter with three users is AUD 71 a month. TableNest has no per-user fee, so a team of three on Starter is still $29.

When the booking system has to talk to your till and your books. Tablewick says it has no ready-made POS integrations yet and sells API access as a AUD 18.99 add-on. TableNest's Square POS sync, Xero invoicing and API access all come with Business ($49) at no extra charge, and Business is also where gift vouchers start — Tablewick does not sell gift cards.

Both are Australian, both take no commission and no per-cover fee, and neither asks for a contract. Both can take paid bookings for special events. The difference is mostly which extras you need, and who in your team needs a login.

On the part everyone worries about — the move itself

“We moved to TableNest as our previous booking system was charging us a premium monthly charge for features that we didn’t need for our business. The transition was seamless and it offers everything our old booking system had for a fraction of the price.”

Yes. Tablewick has a permanent free plan with 30 online bookings a month and one user, a booking page and website widget, and email confirmations. Its Starter plan at AUD 49 a month removes the booking limit. TableNest has no free plan: it has a 30-day free trial, then starts at $29 AUD a month with no cap on online bookings. If you take fewer than 30 online bookings a month and work alone, Tablewick's free plan is the cheaper answer. Tablewick publishes Free, Starter at AUD 49, Pro at AUD 89 and Group at AUD 69 per venue a month for three or more venues. Tablewick says it has "no ready-made POS integrations yet"; its comparison page points to its API add-on, which lets a developer or your POS provider connect. TableNest ships a named Square POS sync and Xero invoicing from the Business plan ($49 AUD) up. The Square sync pushes confirmed bookings and their guests out to Square as customer records and draft tickets, and brings one thing back: the status of a booking TableNest created, so cancelling or no-showing it in Square updates TableNest to match. It does not read your Square orders, tickets or spend. Several things, and they are real. A permanent free plan. A visual floor plan and card holds on its AUD 49 Starter plan, where TableNest's floor plan starts at Pro ($69 AUD). Digital loyalty cards on Starter and up. Commission-free online ordering as a AUD 19 add-on. Meal pre-orders for groups on Pro. An iPhone and iPad app. TableNest has none of the loyalty, ordering, pre-order or native-app features. What TableNest has that Tablewick does not: gift vouchers from Business (Tablewick says it "does not sell gift cards"), Square POS and Xero, API access with no add-on fee, no per-user charge, and published pricing and signup in the US and New Zealand as well as Australia (Tablewick's pricing page lists AUD only). Yes. In Tablewick, Settings, Export data downloads everything in one ZIP file: bookings, guests, orders and more. Unzip it first. TableNest's import maps spreadsheet columns by header name — name, email, phone, visit count and notes — so it does not depend on any one vendor's export layout, and existing customers matched on email or phone are updated rather than duplicated. The booking widget swap is a single embed-code line on your venue website.
TableNest is open for signup in Australia, the US and New Zealand, with pricing in each market's local currency. Support and onboarding are AU-first, support hours follow Australian time zones, and SMS confirmations route through a different carrier in each country. Canada and the UK are not open for signup yet.
