Online bookings for US venues, without the per-cover fee

TableNest is a flat-rate online booking system for independent hospitality venues in the US: an embeddable widget for your own site, SMS and email confirmations, a printable run sheet, a guest CRM, deposits, gift vouchers and ticketed events. Three plans, $19 / $34 / $49 USD a month, flat. There is no per-cover fee, no per-booking commission and no contract, so a full Saturday costs the same as a quiet Tuesday. Prices are shown before sales tax, where it applies. The cheapest US platform we hold a dated source for starts at $149 a month and adds a per-guest fee on marketplace covers; the next tiers we found published were $289 and $459. TableNest runs no marketplace, so guests book on your own domain and the guest list stays yours. Signup is open in the US today, a trial runs 30 days, and SMS reaches US numbers on a registered 10DLC campaign from the Starter plan up.

What booking software costs a US venue

US booking platforms mostly price one of two ways: a flat subscription in the low hundreds, or a smaller base fee plus a cut of every guest who arrives through the vendor's marketplace. The cheapest entry price we hold a dated source for is $149 a month on a marketplace tier, with a per-guest fee on top; the two published flat tiers we found elsewhere were $289 and $459 a month. TableNest's ladder is $19 / $34 / $49 USD a month and nothing else: no setup fee, no per-cover charge, no commission, no annual term. The Starter plan is a working booking system rather than a demo tier: the embeddable widget, the printable run sheet, the guest CRM with CSV export and events all run on it. The dearer plans add deposits, gift vouchers, the visual floor plan, smart seating, the Square POS integration, the Xero integration and your own logo on the widget. Competitor figures on this page were read from the vendors' own published pricing pages in September 2026: $149 a month plus a per-guest fee on one platform's marketplace tier, and $289 and $459 a month on another platform's two published tiers. Vendor pricing changes and some of it is quote-only, so treat these as dated observations rather than a rate card, and confirm current terms with the vendor before you decide. TableNest's own prices on this page are generated from the same configuration that bills your card, so they cannot drift from what you are charged.

No marketplace, so the guest list stays yours

The large US platforms are two products wearing one name: booking software, and a consumer marketplace that sells your covers back to you. That is where the per-guest fee comes from, and it is also why the guest record often belongs to the platform rather than to the venue. TableNest sells only the software. Guests book through a widget embedded on your own domain, every guest record sits in your CRM and exports to CSV whenever you want it, and nobody is bidding on your venue name to resell you a Friday night. If what you want is demand generation rather than booking software, a marketplace is the right tool and TableNest is not it.

SMS to US numbers, and what each plan carries

SMS confirmations and reminders send to US mobile numbers over a registered A2P 10DLC campaign, which is the carrier registration US venues need before business texts deliver reliably. Monthly message allowances by plan are 240 / 720 / 1,200, and one booking usually costs one or two messages depending on whether you switch reminders on. All three plans can send; the Starter plan is where most single-site venues land. Email confirmations and reminders are unmetered on all plans and never draw on the message count, so a venue that prefers email can run the whole operation without touching the allowance. Each message type can be switched between SMS and email in Settings, per venue.

Currency, sales tax and how billing works

Subscriptions are charged in USD by Stripe, on the US card you enter, with no foreign-exchange markup from us. Listed prices are before sales tax, where it applies. Plans are monthly and cancel from the billing page in the dashboard - there is no notice period, no minimum term and no exit fee. Annual billing is available and takes two months off the yearly cost. Changing plan mid-month prorates rather than restarting the billing cycle.

What proof we can show you, and what we cannot

Plainly: the testimonials published on this site are Australian venues. We have no US case study to show you and we are not going to invent one. What is already true in the US is the part a venue can check: signup is open, billing runs in USD, SMS is carrier-registered for US numbers, and the product is the same build Australian venues run every service. If being an early US venue on a platform is a risk you would rather not take, that is a reasonable call, and the 30-day trial exists so you can find out cheaply rather than take our word for it.

Where TableNest is the wrong choice

A restaurant group with its own revenue-management team, bespoke POS middleware and a demand for enterprise onboarding should buy an enterprise platform; TableNest is built for owner-operators and small groups, and the honest answer is that we would be a downgrade. A venue whose bookings come mainly from a consumer marketplace should keep paying for that marketplace, because TableNest will not replace the demand. Venues that need table-level revenue forecasting, dynamic pricing per slot, or a loyalty program with points and tiers will not find those here. What TableNest does well is take a venue that is still running bookings through a phone, a diary and a missed-call list, and put it online in an afternoon.

Common questions

Is TableNest available to venues in the US?

Yes. Signup, billing and SMS are all open in the US today - this is not a waiting list. You can create an account, set up your floor, hours and services, import a guest list and put the booking widget on your own site the same afternoon. The trial runs 30 days on the full plan you pick.

What does TableNest cost in USD?

$19 / $34 / $49 USD a month for the Starter, Business and Pro plans respectively, billed monthly, cancellable from the dashboard. Annual billing takes two months off the yearly figure. Those figures are before sales tax, where it applies. Every price on this page is generated from the same configuration that bills your card, so the page cannot quote a figure the checkout disagrees with.

Do you charge per cover, per booking or a commission?

No - none of the three. The monthly subscription is the entire cost of the software. The one thing that can add to a bill is SMS beyond the monthly message count, which is opt-in and shown in the dashboard before it applies. Deposits and voucher payments run through your own Stripe or Square account, so those processing fees are the processor's published rates and are paid to the processor, not to us.

Can TableNest text US mobile numbers reliably?

Yes. Messages to US numbers send over a registered A2P 10DLC campaign, which is carrier registration that stops business texts being filtered. Monthly message allowances by plan are 240 / 720 / 1,200. All three plans can send. Email confirmations and reminders are unmetered on all plans and do not draw on the message count.

What proof can you show from a US venue?

None published, and we are not going to invent one. We will not name or quote a venue that has not agreed to it, so what you can check is this: the testimonials published on this site are Australian venues, and we hold no US case study. The product itself is one build: a US venue runs exactly the code Australian venues run, with USD billing and US carrier registration on top. The 30-day trial is how you check that for yourself.

How long does it take to switch from what we use now?

Most venues are taking live bookings the same day. Export customers and upcoming bookings from your current platform as CSV and import them with column mapping and duplicate detection, which takes a few minutes. The booking widget is one line of HTML on your own site. The part that takes longest is deciding your own rules - service times, table combinations, deposit policy - and that is work you only do once.
